Our honeymoon in Scotland

We will arrive in Glasgow and head north beside Loch Lomond...

…to Crianlarich and over bleak and beautiful Glencoe…

Glencoe

…to Ballachulish for the first two nights.

The Ballachulish hotel provides you with an irresistible mix of history and style with modern comforts. Glide through the dramatic pass of Glencoe and the mountains divide to reveal this breathtaking lochside setting. Fulfill your dream of the perfect historic highland hotel by staying here amongst the turrets. Savour fine Scottish cuisine in the leaping salmon restaurant. Relax to the welcoming crackle of log fires in the elegant lounge or the cosy old library. Unwind in the sunny cocktail bar or the lively ferry inn. Enjoy complimentary use of the nearby indoor heated swimming pool and leisure centre.
From there, we go to Fort William with Scotland’s highest mountain and a mountain gondola above it

then by Glenfinnan and Arisaig to Mallaig…

Arisaig’s village is a nice collection of largely white-painted buildings scattered between the harbour and the line of the new road being built to Morar, across the hillside just below the railway station.

Mallaig

...and then the ferry to Skye.

Isle of Skye

Here we will stay at the Flodigarry Country House Hotel. Set among some of the most dramatic cliff and mountain scenery in the British Isles, Flodigarry is a sheltered haven nestling beneath the towering pinnacles of the Quiraing. A perfect evening at the Flodigarry includes canapes in the drawing room, dreamy sea views with the skirl of the pipes, candlelit dining, then relax in the lounge over coffee and a fine malt. Our room has stunning sea views from its large picture window.

After two days there, we head for Inverness via Eilean Donan Castle…

...Glen Shiel

…and Loch Ness.

Here we will stay at the Bunchrew House Hotel. Set amidst 20 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens and woodland on the shores of the Beauly Firth near Inverness, Bunchrew House is a 17th century Scottish mansion steeped in history and tradition, offering quality accommodation from bed and breakfast to a full Highland holiday or vacation, with our hotel facilities at your disposal.

In every way, Bunchrew captures the charm and natural beauty of the magnificent Scottish countryside. With the sea lapping the garden wall only yards from the house, guests can enjoy the breathtaking views of Ben Wyvis and the Black Isle and relax in a rare sense of timelessness and tranquillity. Our room has a stunning view over the Beauly Firth (the sea) to the hills beyond.
Dining at Bunchrew is a real experience. The wood-panelled restaurant has fabulous views over the Beauly Firth to the mountains beyond and when dining with us you’ll often see the most magnificent sunsets to rival any other place in the world.

The food too is superb. Chef Walter Walker currently holds 2 AA Rosettes and is actively working towards a third. His cooking is a fusion of Scottish and European styles using the best of ingredients from the Highland Larder. His menus are complemented by a fine selection of over 70 different wines to suit every palate.
While there we will visit Inverness...

Then we go back to Glasgow and spend an evening in a wonderful bed and breakfast before transferring to the airport. From there, we go to Sweden, and celebrate midsommar.

Finally, we'll spend one romantic evening in Paris before heading back home!
